There are two separate routes. If you are a company arranging Japanese training for your employees, use the form for companies, which asks how many people it is for so we can quote. If you are learning on your own account, use the form on this page and we will arrange a trial lesson (¥1,000, tax included). The two go to different inboxes, so please use the one that matches.

Trial lesson fee: ¥1,000, tax included. This is our own price, set by United World Inc., as of 5 September 2026 (確認日：2026年9月5日). Corporate training is quoted per engagement.

Learning on your own account

This form is for you as an individual. We start with a trial lesson — ¥1,000, tax included — to see where you are now and what you are aiming at. What you write here is used only to reply to you and to arrange that lesson. See how we handle personal data.

"I cannot say what I think in meetings" tells us more than "I want to pass the JLPT". The more concrete you are, the better we can shape the trial lesson around you.

What the trial lesson is for

It is not a sales meeting. It is time spent working out where you actually are, so that anything we design afterwards is built on something real. We are looking at four things.

  • Which of speaking, writing, listening and reading is furthest behind the others
  • Where exactly the sentence stops — vocabulary not arriving, structure taking too long to assemble, or not catching what was said
  • What is actually causing you trouble right now
  • How often you could realistically keep going

"I want to get better at Japanese" is not something we can design from, so we spend the trial lesson making it specific. If you already know what you are aiming at, writing it in the form means we can use the time better on the day.

The trial lesson costs ¥1,000 (tax included). It is not free because it is a real lesson that an instructor prepares for and teaches. We will tell you how to pay when we write back with times.

Frequently asked questions

Is the trial lesson free?

No. It costs ¥1,000, tax included. We charge for it because it is a real lesson: an instructor prepares for it and teaches it, and within that time you get a reading of where your Japanese actually is and what to do next. You are not expected to continue afterwards. We will tell you how to pay when we write back with possible times.

Can I do this if I barely speak Japanese?

Yes. Some of our instructors work in English, and you are welcome to write to us in English — this form and the reply can both be in English. The trial lesson itself can be run in English where that is what makes it useful.

Do I have to sign up after the trial lesson?

No. You are welcome to take the trial lesson and leave it there. We will not chase you afterwards.

Can I do this without my employer knowing?

Yes. If you apply as an individual, we do not contact your workplace. An enquiry made here goes to the inbox for individual enquiries, separately from anything a company has arranged with us.

I live outside Japan. Can I still take lessons?

Yes. Lessons are online, so where you are is not a constraint. Tell us your time zone and we will work out slots that fit; early morning, evening and weekend times can be arranged.

Which is right for me, this or the company route?

It depends on who is paying and who decides what you study. If your employer is arranging and funding training for its staff, the company route fits, and the curriculum is designed around the job. If you are arranging it yourself, this page is the right one, and what you study is decided by you. The two go to different inboxes, and we do not move an enquiry from one to the other without asking you.
